NOS GM Z28 TI IGNITION DISTRIBUTORDescription:   RARE!! NOS GM Transistorized Ignition distributor. Very hard to come by and real deal with "400" vacuum advance, brown TI distributor cap, and 9K5(October 5, 1969) date code. This distributor is much more streetable that the "163". It has a vacuum advance were the 163 does not because it was made for all out racing. Please read on.... Distributors are not always ready to go out of the box especially the lubricant, after sitting for decades. We had to sent to TI Specialty. Dave Fiedler is an expert with TI distributors. The upper bearing(brass bushing) was replaced because it was not installed square from the factory. It required that the housing be put on a machinist lathe in order to make the upper bearing perfectly straight. He also corrected the end total play(was too loose), set the mechanical advance(it was already 2 degrees advanced at idle speed), installed grease felt in oil well, and removed and relubed the distributor with synthetic grease.
