bigpoint store Vintage 1950s Retro Grey Eyeglasses American Optical Description:This is a pair of vintage 1950's grey frame eyeglasses made by American Optical.   Frame is 5.25" wide across the top, and from bottom to top is 1.5".  From the temple to ear bend is 4".  Size listed on the frame is 4 3/4 American Optical. The frame is grey plastic with molded nose rest and A/O logos on the front. Please note that right arm has split at the bend which is not visible when worn. Also frame has some slight discoloration on the inside of nose rest (also not visible when worn). Otherwise glasses are in good vintage condition. These glasses have clear lenses with bifocals (some scratches) but you can easily get your own RX installed.  Be sure to use the measurements provided to determine fit and get an optician to make any fitting adjustments.
