Antique Church pew 1800s from Conway Ar
We purchased the pew in 1979 or 80. The pew was in the oldest church sanctuary at that time in the town of Conway, Ar. At that time it was a Methodist church but had been a Presbyterian church at one time. The church facility burned some time in the early 1980s Based upon the information we were given the church was built in the 1800s and the pew was manufactured during the 1800s. I am not a antique expert so I can not verify the age. I originally had started stripping the stain as I wanted the pew lighter. I did not finish one end or the back. The photos will reflect some difference in seat, front of back and rear of back. It actually looks pretty as it is. Pew is 58" long, seat is 15 1/2" deep, back is 20 1/4" high, hight from floor to top of end is 37 3/8". Good size for your home or office. Was used in our office for years.
