HAND PAINTED Civil War Toy Soldiers US Cavalrymen

You are bidding on TWO very realistically depicted 54mm Union Cavalrymen on picket duty!  While one soldier fires his carbine at an unseen Confederate approaching the Union picket post, his sergeant observes his trooper without any concerns, probably used to the sounds of war by this time in the conflict!These rarely seen figures began with recently released Replicants figures, which I mounted on Imex Cavalry horses to enhance the realistic appearance of the two Union cavalrymen!  These two "horse soldiers" come trimmed in yellow cavalry colors, with sky blue pants, typical dress of the Union cavalry throughout the War!   I handpainted the figures and detailed the horses and accoutrements as seen in the photos, to accurately depict the period uniforms and equipment, and then overcoated them in acrylic flat finish to protect the finish and give the pair a more realistic appearance.  I've hand painted over 11,300 soldiers for collectors in the US,Canada, Europe, Austalia and even Japan ...
