Antique primitive cloth/composition ? baby doll

This auction is for an antique, maybe handmade, strange doll measuring 13 inches long. The body is made of cloth, stuffed with wood shavings, I think, and the head is possibly composition. The doll is wearing a red plaid cape which is somewhat rigid and seems like it is painted red on the underside. Not sure if that is original or if it was added later. She is also wearing what looks like a handmade yellowish jumper with little pink and brown flowers. Her belt is made of a small strip of leather that is pinned in the back. The fabric of the legs is printed with red stripes and black boots that are part of the legs but of a different material than the rest of the doll. Her arms have tears on both sides, through which wood shaving stuffing can be seen. The arm and leg on the doll's left side are tacked on with a nail or metal fastener through the outside and arm and leg to the body and on the right are connected on the inner side with string that goes into the body of the doll.
