Replica/Kit Makes : Dune Buggy

Vehicle DescriptionYou are looking at an insured (Infinity Insurance Company) PA State inspected (till 5/09), licensed and fully Pennsylvania street legal 1969 Apache Dune Buggy.  It began life as a 1965 Volkswagen which was shortened and the fiberglass body installed.  Over the years it fell into disrepair.  I bought it in 2001 in pieces.  I have since rebuilt or replaced virtually everything.    This buggy is rare for several reasons.  First is the full frame windshield.  I know of no other buggy including Myers Manx that uses something other than an aluminum frame windshield.  This in itself lends character to the vehicle.   Second: this buggy has a console of sorts.  Currently a radio is mounted there.  It does not work and I have never replaced it.  Third:  most other buggies have the rear deck cut out to accommodate the engine.  This buggy has a full deck with the engine fitting completely under this deck.   The origina ...
