Edison Cylinder Phonograph record DOWN ON THE FARM

This week we are running a large group of great VERY CLEAN 2 minute wax including many great titles and a few SCARCE PHONOGRAPHS. CHECK OUR OTHER AUCTIONS!Here we have an Edison 2 minute wax cylinder c. 1908 titled "DOWN ON THE FARM", It is cylinder # 8517.  This was one in a group of records that may have been new original unplayed stock. Why? This group has 99% matching lids, looked super clean and bright, and had duplicate titles. In 1908, Edison introduced the 4 minute cylinders and sales started to decline on the older 2 minute records. Eventually, the dealers (often drug stores, etc.) would store them away. Several times over the last 33 years we have found groups of NOS (New Old Stock).
