Fenton Glass Crystal Crest Melon 6" Double Crimped Vase    This Fenton Glass Crystal Crest Melon 6" Double Crimped Vase is in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips, only some minor glass imperfections (a line that goes diagonally around the inside of the vase, that can be seen when held into the light), the crystal crest is an opal glassware with a clear spun edge, which also has an outer layer of opal trim.  Fenton's crystal crest was only made for the first half of 1942.  Sometime after mid-year, the opal trim was dropped off and the similar Silver Crest pattern was born.  This pattern was much easier to produce and proved to be one of Fenton's  most popular.  Although the listing of Crystal Crest items made is extensive, the short period of time the pattern was in production has resulted in a very short supply of items on the secondary market.  This vase is the #192-6" Double Crimped , regular and was valued at 40.00 - 50.00 in the Fenton Art Glass Patterns 19 ...
