2000 Gibson Historic Reissue Les Paul 1959 Standard R9

This is my 2000 Gibson R9, serial number 9 0317 (St. Paddy's Day R9 - very lucky!).  It plays superbly since it has been plekked.  It weighs just 8 lbs 4 ozs, 8.25 lbs!  The tone is great, it sounds very well balanced with a clear tone across the spectrum- not muddy and not overly bright.  The Certificate of Authenticity COA is included.The guitar currently has a great set of Sheptone PAF tributes installed and shown in the pictures, but the guitar will be sold with Burstbuckers installed.   This auction is for the guitar with Burstbuckers, just because not everyone may be a fan of Sheptones like I am.  If you want the Sheptones instead of the Burstbuckers (recommended) they are available by adding $150 to the auction price.  It is your choice.  Link to Sheptone Pickups website: http://www.sheptone.com/hum.htmThe guitar has been plekked and it has a bone nut installed, both by a highly regarded luthier here in the Baltimore area.  A receipt for the work w ...
