Harley-Davidson : Sportster

Vehicle Description1984 Harley sportster 1000  iron head! well lets start with all the positives. 1) runs great, starts every time. 2) brand new white wall tires 3) new battery (die hard). 4) carb was completely rebuilt last year. 5) new clutch last year. 6) all gears re-shimmed 2 yrs ago. 7) fat bob tank. 8) screaming eagle pipes (loud). 9) drag bars (chrome grips). 10) fresh oil change. bike runs loud and strong! now for the neg. 1) as showed in picture, the old battery leaked onto the primary and caused some chrome fadeing in one section under the battery.maybe can be buffed out but not sure. the gas tank has some fading from over the years of gas dripping onto the tank when filling on one section of the tank. drips a little oil when bike sits but nothing major (common for these bikes). and most important of all, there is an electrical issue with the bike. headlight works, turn signals work, tail light works but does not illuminate when you press the rear brake peddal? and headlight will cut off but c ...
