Around the 8" mirror is a carved wood patterned border. The pattern allows the color of the wall to show through the black wood. Around the wood carvings is a very unique design made from slices of tree branches inlaid into the frame (see bottom pic). Up close you can even see the tiny rings of each wooden inlay. The entire frame is quite large, measuring 28" in diameter. The 8" mirror is a "fish eye" mirror - it is rounded, giving the mirror a unique reflection.
