Magnatone 411, Circa 1964

Hi...you are looking at a 1964 Magnatone 411 amp with tremolo. I rescued this little guy from a local thrift store a while back. It needed a little TLC but now it works as it should. It is all original except for 2 resistors which I replaced and the external speaker jack. It has 2 tubes...a 6AV6 in the preamp and an ECL86/6GW8 in the output section . I'd estimate it to be in the 5-6 watt output range. The 8" Jensen speaker is original and has no issues. The cab is particle board and has it's share of bumps and bruises but is solid. This amp has a nice break-up at around 3/4 volume.it's pretty respnsive to your pick attack too. It really improves the sound quality when you plug it into an extension speaker...I have been running it through a 1X15 Jensen and it really kicks it up a notch. Due to the fragile nature of vintage electronics it is sold as-is and insurance is recommended.
