Masonic Knights Templar Silver Plated Sword Belt
VERY NICEKnights Templar Silver PlatedSword BeltCa. 1900Up for auction is an old Knights Templar Sword Belt made by the M.C. Lilley and Co. from Columbus Ohio. The belt is from the time period of 1882 to 1925 based on the maker's mark, and my guess is that it is almost assuredly from the earlier time frame. The belt is made of orange leather with stitched and tooled detailing. The metal peices are all silver plated. The buckle shows a Knight triumphantly holding a banner over his head. The three crosses on the buckle are all enamelled. The hangers are all in good condition all 4 being present. The belt is marked very clearly on the tongue in silver paint. It is very suprising to see this marking so clear. The belt is in amazing condition, showing very little wear. The belt measures about 34" in length and looks like it would fit 30"-32" waist with room to adjust.
