The Monkees Monthly Magazine #2 1967

Welcome Fans and Collectors of The Monkees - Mike Nesmith, Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones and Peter Tork!  The Monkees television series debuted just as The Beatles ceased touring and retired from the world stage for an extended period of time. It was perfect timing, as The Monkees were able to fill the void  left by The Beatles and become a huge, world-wide phenomenon. You've got to love The Monkees...they made some CLASSIC records along with starring in their TV series AND proved to be quite interesting individuals as well.   It always surprises me that some genuine Monkees fans do not have the Monkees Monthly Magazines in their collection. These magazines were published in the U.K. by Beat Publications, the same publishers responsible for the Beatle Book Monthly magazines. They are similar in concept and design.
