Favorite-player collectors seldom get a chance to buy singles from the 1995 Cardtoons parody set and its rare inserts and send-aways. I'm offering the most popularly collected cards here in a series of eBay auctions.Cardtoons were initially planned for release prior to the MLB strike of 1994. When they were finally issued in 1995, they created instants controversy with their jabs at everything about Big League baseball from the players to the owners to the mascots, etc. Everybody in "official" baseball hated them, and despite the fact they were Constitutionally protected free speech, the issue was quickly squelched, with very few every reaching circulation. The artwork caricatures are quite well done, though the write-ups on back are sophomoric.Selling here is the Foil Insert of Sir Noble Ryan (Nolan Ryan).
