Remote Cables for Mercury Outboard Boat Motor Engine I had bought this great looking set of controls this spring and am just getting it listed.  I had bought it with a 1985  Mercury 18 HP outboard.  (which is listed in another auction) I have not been able to find any kind of model number on the controls and the serial number of the engine that it came off of was 6013299. The cables are about 6 or 7 feet long and they had been using it on a pontoon boat.    I was told that it was used on a 1985 (approximately) MERCURY 18 Horsepower, 2 cylinder, 2 stroke outboard motor.  They had the engine set up with the tiller handle when I bought it and this remote unit comes with a bag full of parts that they had told me was what was needed to set it back up for that engine to convert it to the remote.  I am sure that this set of cables will work out fine for quite a few different mercury engines but not sure how many engines the conversion pa ...
