1972 El Camino MUD TRUCK, project, rat rod Vehicle Description Up for auction is a 1972 elcamino on a suburban or blazer frame. This truck was purposely built for running in the mud. The elcamino frame is no good any more, but there is a clear title for the camino, and for the 4X4 frame and running gear under it. The pictures look bad, because it has been sitting a long time. I'm selling this for a friend, so I can only tell you what I've been told. The quarter panels, door skins, and fenders are all new metal. The floor is shot, and the outer rockers are bad. I think the bed is pretty good. It has 2 sets of wheels and tires, one set is completely bald, but will hold air to move. The other set is a brand new set of mudder tires that have exactly one run on them. (The wheels and tires were $1200.00 a few years ago.) The truck has a 350 with a 350turbo.
