ROCK ISLAND F7 in 1952, Vintage Slide ~ T'NUTZ

Rock Island F7 #117, (Original?) Slide Agfachrome? by Bill White? Processed by unknown. Dated 1952 Grade: FAIR** #117 wears one of the most attractive of the post-steam-era paint schemes. This slide is mounted in a plain grey mount with hand- written notes that are somewhat ambiguous as to the provenance. I give this slide a 50-50 chance of being an original, so you'll have to be the judge. As you may be able to see from the scan, there is moderate grain, some surface abrasions that come with age, and the color, while still quite accurate, is not vivid. Either way, this vintage slide is a collectible CRI&P rarity. Scan above shows the full frame unless there is a small inset image, in which case the small image shows the full frame while the large image shows detail of the photo. Trainutz.com logo and bears (unfortunately) do not appear on the actual slide! Vintage slides may show minor scuffs, marks and such consistent with their age.
