Vintage composition babydoll Original outfit

Vintage composition babydoll Original outfit Carnival??  We were told this little lady was a doll you could buy or win back in the old carnival days, her original owner passed away last year, she was 93. Her body is not as smooth as the dolls that could be bought in a department store.Clothes: appear to be original, the outfit has old staples built into her back which attached the clothes to the body on the bottom and the top may have been safty pinned or just sewn on but someone has altered that and the outfit is now attached with just the safety pins.  the bottoms which match the top looks to have traces where the staple used to be attached to it and the current safetypin runs through the upper staple.
